Volunteer at TD Garden
Our volunteers get an inside look at historic TD Garden while helping the iconic ABCD Hoop Dreams sports benefit run like clockwork.
Volunteer efforts will help us continue to assist and empower Boston teens in search of a path forward.
We are currently not recruiting volunteers for Hoop Dreams but please stay tuned for updates.
The History
A spin-off of ABCD Field of Dreams, played at Fenway Park, Hoop Dreams is a basketball benefit co-founded by Boston sports columnist and author Bob Ryan, ABCD's longtime Director of Government and Industrial Relations Bob Elias, and NBA Championship-winning Coach Doc Rivers, just a few years after Rivers led the Boston Celtics to the 2008 NBA Championship. When he left Boston, Doc enlisted his successor, Brad Stevens, to co-host Hoop Dreams. After a tournament of half-court games, the evening shifts into “overtime” with a private Q&A in the Legends Club, where the co-hosts share insights and take questions from participating players.
